About Harley Stagner

I have been in the Information Technology field for quite a while now. My range of knowledge includes network design and administration, scripting, and of course, virtualization technology. My latest book (co-authored with Sean Crookston), Managing and Optimizing vSphere Deployments was published in August of 2012.
My book, Pro Hyper-V , was published in May of 2009. I was also the technical editor for Chris Wolf and Erick M. Halter’s book Virtualization: From Desktop to the Enterprise, and I plan to continue writing for various other projects.
I have a bachelor of science degree in management information systems from ECPI Technical College in Richmond, VA and a master of business administration degree from Strayer University in Midlothian, VA. I have the following IT certifications: VCDX #46, VCP, MCTS: Windows Server Virtualization, MCSE (2000/2003), CCNA, A+ and Network+.

I have been consulting with clients in Virginia for several years and have moved into a role at VMware as a Senior Technical Marketing Architect.

If you need writing content for your publication, need a technical editor, or would just like to chat about virtualization technology please feel free to contact me.
